Complete Competent Care is a very professional and helpful company. We were in a desperate situation, and they completely understood, and sent us an angel named Michelle. She is warm, patient, kind, and considerate. She goes the extra mile dealing with all kinds of situations. We strongly recommend Michelle and her wonderful company.
When looking to replace my relative’s live in ,as well as the agency we were dealing with, naturally we searched the internet and read as many reviews as possible, as you might be doing right now. After reading the reviews for Complete Competent Care, we thought, as you are probably thinking right now, “This is too good to be true” Thankfully Complete Competent Care is that good.
Complete competent care did an amazing job taking care of me Post hospitalization. They were able to find a live in wonderful aid over the Christmas Holiday to keep me safe and care for while I recover. I highly recommend them to anyone needing any care!

Four months ago my husband and I found ourselves in a very difficult predicament. My mother-in-law, who was sick with cancer, ended up in an absolutely disgusting rehab center after a hospital stay. She was going downhill quickly. We were desperate to find her a better way to recover but we basically didn’t know where to turn. To make matters worse we live over 100 miles away and had no contacts in NJ. We decided we would find a way to have her come back to her own home to recover.I picked up my phone and searched “home health aides”. By some miracle the first company that popped up was Complete Competent Care. They had great reviews. I dialed the number and the most lovely woman named Donna answered. She could not have been more approachable or caring. She listened to all our concerns and within minutes I knew that we were making an excellent choice. We opted for round the clock care, basically the aides we hired would do 8 to 12 hour shifts.The rehab center sent mom home in an ambulette at 11 pm. The agency sent an aide named Theresa who was kind enough to accommodate this late hour and she came and stayed with me as we waited for mom to arrive. Theresa is lovely and she put me at ease instantly. She helped get everything ready and was upbeat and positive when welcoming my mother-in-law. She became a steady in our rotation.Donna ran scheduling and did her very best to try to give us aides who would match well with our situation. She understood our desire to get on a regular schedule, whereby the same aides would do the same shifts, as much as possible. This was a comfort to mom and to all of us. It was our luck that a lovely woman named Rose was our weekday aide and she and Carol became great friends, so much so that we all consider Rose a part of our family now. Rose took care of mom as if it were her own sister. She was loving and they enjoyed teasing each other. Rose also kept the house sparkling.Karen also became a part of our family. She has an open and happy disposition and she helped our mom wrap gifts at Christmas time and also helped with hosting our Christmas dinner. She even helped us organize and clean out the garage. My kids adore her. Lashandra also was a very reliable and caring aide. She was with mom many nights, as was Gillian who also demonstrated what a conscientious aide she was by sending me nightly text updates as to how our mom did through the night.I should mention that when we first called Donna we basically needed her help for 24/7 care and we needed it instantly. Since we basically dropped that huge need on her it was initially a problem to fill the weekend hours so we used another agency for weekends only for a few weeks. What a nightmare that was! On the very first shift the aide didn’t show up! Who called me? Donna! She told me not to worry and that their aide would stay as long as needed so as not to leave mom alone. I tried getting in touch with the weekend agency and it was an answering machine. Eventually the weekend aide did arrive but basically had no apology or explanation for being late! This situation occurred more than once with the second agency and I was never able to get anyone on the phone when I absolutely needed to. Each and every time we had a problem it was Donna who called me to help and more than once she had to get one of her aides to come over. In one situation Sharon, Donna’s sister and the owner of the agency, came and covered a shift!Throughout this process Donna has barely skipped a day without a call, text, check-in or friendly phone conversation. There was no issue we couldn’t discuss or that she wasn’t willing to help with -even when the problem was caused by another agency. I feel blessed to have met her and her sister Sharon and I highly highly recommend Complete Competent Care!

We came across CCC by an internet search but Sharon, Donna and Marian could not have been more helpful if they tried. I would give them a ten stars if I could. We had used CCC for six months until my mother was placed in a nursing home and not once did CCC fall short of being totally helpful and supportive. UPDATE:I am writing to update you about my experience at Complete Competent Care. My family worked with CCC for over 4 years. Both of my grandparents were in their nineties and needed care to stay in their home. At first we just used an hourly aide for a couple days of week. My grandmother felt so comfortable with this situation that we quickly expanded to almost daily. As my grandparents’ needs changed, CCC was able to provide us with a live-in aide and my grandparents lived with that situation for about 3 years. Throughout the experience, CCC did a great job of supporting my grandparents and, at times, me. In the beginning, my mother was part of the care team as she lived only 5 minutes away from my grandparents. Towards the end, my husband and I, who live in the Chicago area, worked with CCC to support their needs. This is a pretty difficult thing to do long-distance, but CCC really helped coordinate lots of things like online shopping, getting extra supplies during covid and once, Sharon’s husband took my grandfather to an urgent doctor’s visit! Sharon, her sister Donna and Marion were always helpful and understanding. I would definitely recommend Complete Competent Care to anyone who is thinking of care for their loved one.
I can’t thank them enough for all the personal help that the staff gave me. It was a difficult situation as the hospital and rehab kept giving me different release dates for my mom. Donna worked with all the changes swiftly. Always answered the phone. Called me to see how she was doing and made the transition back to my moms house so easy. The health aide Denny was fantastic and my mom was so appreciative. The team at Complete Competent Care has been fabulous to us as a family. They took care of my grandparents who were in their 90s for four years; first with a daytime caregiver and then with an amazing live-in caregiver. My grandmother has since passed but my grandfather, at 98, is doing extremely well still because of the excellent care that he receives from his caregiver and the staff. They go out of their way to make sure he gets all his medications and well-being needs met. There are so many services that they provide—in home nurse check, in-home haircut. They have even gone shopping for my grandfather when he needed things during the Covid-19 outbreak and they have called me to follow up on his medications. They truly are amazing and make us feel comfortable that my grandfather is in good hands because we live far away in Chicago and are not able to check in with him as much as we like. You will be very pleased with this agency and we highly recommend them.

My Mom, Lee needed more help physically than either my father or I could handle or manage. My son-in-law contacted Complete Competent Care for assistance. From the first day they were easy to work with providing us originally with a part-time aide, Glorianne who my mother wound up viewing as a friend as well as an aide.
After a hospitalization and weeks of rehab we needed to have a live in and Gladys entered our lives. She lives in and is wonderful. She is always attentive to my mother’s need for exercise, hydration, and the taking of her Meds. We couldn’t be any happier with the way things are going.

She was very attentive to mom’s needs and understood how to care for an Alzheimer’s patient. I have experienced a number of home health care agencies in the recent years, and after having a spate of bad experiences, I was fortunately connected to Complete Competent Care, Inc. through my social worker. From the start things were surprisingly different. A representative from the agency said it was their policy, as far as I had experienced, heretofore unheard of, that before my aide was assigned to me, she and I would “meet and greet” so that we both could experience some feeling for each other. My aide, Marie, and I met and experienced immediate chemistry. I have seen her now daily,for the entire morning, for a period of time and I could not have been more satisfied. Besides being attentive and caring about my physical needs, besides being as concerned with the physical upkeep toward my living quarters ( a necessity since my challenges prevent me from the upkeep of my apartment), besides being scrupulously honest and thorough when she shops for me, perhaps the most extraordinary factor that between us is an easy banter and it feels as if a friend was stopping by to help me. I can only presume that the agency that has hired such an outstanding representative to be an employee, must be just as proud of all the people in their employ. If Marie is a representative filling that capacity, only kudos to Complete Competent Care, Inc. If my experience is that indication, I can only recommend them unqualitatively.

Complete Competent Care has been assisting my dad (Joseph) in caring for my mom, Marie, for the past three years. My husband and I live in another state, so it was so important for us to know that there were compassionate caregivers taking care of mom. Mom had Alzheimer’s disease for the past five years. She passed away on September 20, 2016, and spent the last month of her life in a nursing facility, but for the past three years she has been cared for at home by my dad, and two nursing aides from Complete Competent Care, Annette and Zonia. I can’t say enough about these women, especially Zonia, who continued to visit my mom even when she was in the nursing home. They treated her with love and compassion and had tremendous patience with mom when she would become agitated, as people with this disease often do. They were a great support system for my dad as well. Donna Bruno was always attentive to the family’s needs, and made sure my parents were taken care of. I am so grateful to all of them for being with my parents when it was impossible for me to be with them.

Wanted to post a quick review of Complete Competent Care and their staff. Donna Bruno was wonderful coordinating everything for my mother’s care. Always helpful and informative. Erin Johns is a great nurse who made my mother feel comfortable at all times, and is always available to take my calls and readily answers her phone. Lastly, but not least, is the aide herself, Lanora. A cheery lady who loves her job and always got my mother to smile. I can’t imagine trying to do all that has to be done on my own, and they are still helping me every step of the way!

I engaged with Complete Competent Care to help with the transition from a nursing facility to home. The patient was one that was demanding and more than a bit cantankerous.
Donna took the time to understand the needs, challenges and requirements regarding the new patient in a home care setting. Donna then suggested that Dawn would be a good fit.
In a word, Dawn was amazing. Besides providing excellent and caring care for the patient, it was remarkable how she was able to gain the cooperation of the patient and have her engage in activities without argument or her usual resistance.
Complete Competent Care, Donna and Dawn have my highest recommendations as a providers of home health services.

Mom’s full time home health aide, Lanora, was like a gift from heaven. Mom adored her, and the feeling was mutual. They always seemed like they had fun together, even as Mom’s condition’s progressed and she required more care. Lanora always had a smile and a laugh for us, and she never complained.
Debbie, the visiting nurse, came faithfully every month, and Mom looked forward to her visits. Debbie was so warm and caring, and her visits never really seemed like “work” to her. It is easy to see that she really enjoys what she does.
Donna and Sharon in the office were always tremendously helpful. If Mom’s aide had to take a rare day off, they helped us find a substitute. They were also great at providing a caring ear just to listen.
There are certainly larger, more well known agencies which provide in home care, but they cannot match the personal, family oriented service that Complete Competent Care provides. I would recommend your agency without hesitation to anyone.

My mother in law was diagnosed with cancer April of 2015 and we had the pleasure of bringing her home to live out her last few months. This would not have been possible without the help of Complete Competent Care.
We were blessed with one of the absolute best live-in nurses anyone could hope for (Mary). She was kind, caring, loving and extremely gentle with my mother in law’s care. She moved in with us during the time of need making our household life so much easier just knowing that around the clock care was at hand.
My mother in law sadly passed in August of 2015, however we are forever grateful to Complete Competent Care for helping our household know we gave the best care to my mother in law possible, which helped immensely with our loss.
I would highly recommend Complete Competent Care to anyone who wishes to have their loved ones cared for as though they were their own family.
